I decided to test embedding Google Trends charts for the UK. I can’t figure out how to make the embedded charts look nicer but in the meantime, this is quite interesting.
Each chart shows what people are searching for in the last 7 days (or 30 days if there wasn’t much data) in particular, i.e. not the overall biggest search (which is always Facebook, BBC, Google etc!), but the biggest increase:
Advocacy (30 days)
Arts
Books
Business
Computers
Economics (30 days)
Finance
Games (computer)
Health
Internet and telecomms
Online communities
Pets (30 days)
Reproductive rights (90 days)
Science
Social sciences (30 days)
Workers’ rights (30 days)
There are a bunch of other categories but I’m less interested in those, and I’m not embedding everything!
