Hi, I’m Beth Granter. Here’s my biography:
After travelling around the world, I did a Biology BSc Hons so I could learn how the world worked, then went travelling around the world again, before coming back to Brighton to do an MA in Digital Media. Then I worked on the University of Sussex Web Team as a Project Developer, designing and managing the development of a social networking community mashup site, and designing and building the interiors on the University Second Life project. Then I worked as a Digital / Social Media Project Manager at The Good Agency, then as Head of Social Media there, where I managed social media, online PR, website builds and online community projects for a variety of organisations, mainly not-for-profit / charity. I now work as a Consultant & Producer at NixonMcInnes in Brighton.
Apart from digital publishing, I have a chapter called “Breaking the hierarchy – democratising the institutional web presence” published in the book, “Technology supported learning environments – methods and case studies”.
I am an illustrator in my spare time, and have worked on a number of print publications. I am interested in new media art and street art.
I used to work freelance for the BBC – creating video content for the web, and writing gig reviews.
I am also interested in feminism, queer politics, animal rights, ecology, sexology and evolutionary psychology.
My email is beth (at) bethgranter.com
Sorry – couldn’t see if you had a public email address.
We’re running a video advertising campaign for a well-known drinks brand and would be interested in buying some advertising or advertorial space on your blog.
To anyone else who might be thinking the same thing – nope, I’m absolutely nothing to do with Granter Media in GA. In fact I’d never heard of them until Angus posted that comment in June…
